Committees

The Legislative Committee is designed to work with, influence, and educate local, state, and federal legislators regarding issues of concern to the MBE business community and local, regional, and national economic development.
Vision of the Community Service- Corporate Members & MBEs working together on behalf of the Council to serve the community.

Mission of the Community Service-Using the talents and resources of our Corporate Members & MBEs to improve the quality of life in the DMV region we serve. We do this by creating public-private partnerships to assist organizations with programs and projects.

The three Pillars of the Community Service- Underserved (health, homelessness, hunger), Education, and Entrepreneurship

Foster opportunities for MBEs to collaborate with each other and gain exposure to CRMSDC corporate members. Signature programs are the monthly MBE CEO Peer group meeting, MBE CEO Peer Teams group, and the annual MBE Pitchmania.
This committee answers the question “I am Certified, now what?”  We help newly certified MBEs and those returning to the fold with establishing a game plan to optimize MBE Certification through NMSDC.

This committee matches mentors with mentees. The specific tasks and responsibilities of the mentor committee will vary depending on the needs of the mentee and the goals of the mentorship program. It also connects MBEs with interns to help them develop new skills, knowledge and practical experience in a particular field or industry.
